in aid of Shooting Star Children's Hospices
Tickets go on sale Monday 15 January
The Ember Big Band, based in Elmbridge, will be saluting The Rat Pack – some of the coolest dudes the musical world has ever known.
The band`s 20 musicians and four singers will remember Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr. with some of their greatest hits including “Birth of the Blues”, “Mack the Knife”, “Mister Bojangles” and “Luck Be A Lady Tonight”.
The concert will be conducted by Allan Rogers, Musical Director of the “Strictly Come Dancing” live tours and narrated by actor/comedian Norman Pace, best known for his partnership with Gareth Hale in Hale and Pace. Norman is now an actor – with an impressive track record in musical theatre.
Norman said of the concert: “It’s a great pleasure for me to help Shooting Star. As the father of a disabled child, I understand the difficulties and pressures surrounding serious illness in a young person. Not just the illness itself, but also the effects on parents, family members and friends.”
